Staff at Ski Tours Canada are the specialists when you are considering planning a snow holiday to Fernie Alpine Resort, one of Canada’s premier ski-in/ski-out resorts.

Fernie Alpine resort operates an internationally acclaimed Winter Sports Snow School offering adult, youth and children’s ski improvement programs. Most of our Ski Tours Canada packages include ski improvement lessons and lift tickets.

We strongly recommend advance bookings for the lesson component of your personalised itinerary, particularly in peak holiday season. We may also be able to assist with some personal recommendations for instructors upon request.

Fernie's Adult Snow School has plenty of learn-to-ski, ski improvement and snowboarding programs aimed at ensuring skiers and snowboarders of all abilities can enjoy themselves while pushing towards that next level.

As well as half-day and full-day group or private lessons for adults, the Snow School also offers 3-day ski and snowboard packages and Mountain Guides to take you to the virgin powder.

The Fernie Kid’s Centre offers half-day and full-day group and private ski and snowboarding lessons for children aged 5 to 12. You can also book private lessons for kids aged 3 to 4.



Fernie’s Resort Kid’s Childcare facility looks after babies from 19 months old to kids up to 6 years old from 8:30am to 4:30pm daily. There’s a full ski program available, starting off with gentle rides on the Magic Moose magic carpet. With safety always a priority helmets are provided for free. 


The Sydney-based Scots College conducts the annual Scots Fernie International Interschools Cup at Fernie Alpine Resort in January each year. The race is an individual’s event and open to any school age (4-19) child from any country. 

Ski Tours Canada will happily put you in touch with the event organisers to arrange pre-race registration for interested families. It is not a mandatory requirement that participants must have previously competed in the Australian-based school Interschools Programs. This is about combining fun racing and family activities while at Fernie.

We highly recommend you take advantage of Fernie’s twice daily complimentary ‘Mountain Hosting’ program to orientate yourself with the many and varied runs and terrain. The real bonus is you get to ski or board with friendly locals who really know the mountain – just like a personal guide really, and you set the pace.

LIFTS

For double the fun why not buy a 3-day or more multi-day pass, which allows you to ski at Fernie and also nearby Kimberley Alpine Resort. Kimberley is a Bavarian-styled resort town, which offers miles and miles of gentle, meticulously groomed cruisers as well as advanced terrain.

Lift tickets for Fernie are available for a full day, half day and season pass, with lower prices for children (6-12 years), youth (12-17 years) and seniors (65 years +).

GEAR

When it comes to ski and snowboard equipment, Ski Tours Canada is as flexible as needed. Some of our personalised ski holiday itineraries include ski hire. We will look after everyone in your group from toddlers to adults.

Some clients like to take the opportunity to purchase the latest in alpine equipment whilst in Fernie, either at the resort or downtown. It’s a great chance to make some real savings and choose from the latest range of state-of-the art gear.

Ski stores also offer skis and boards from Atomic & Salomon in a demo fleet for you to ‘test drive’. You can choose from skier-cross-style carving skis, to fat powder boards and intermediate all-mountain skis.
