Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks is a 45-minute-drive north of Kamloops and is nestled in its own fairytale setting with an impressive European-inspired village.

With three mountains to choose from Sun Peaks is a true ski-in/ski-out village with 121 runs over 1,471 hectares (3,678 acres) of terrain to explore.

Reported to have over 2,000 hours of sunshine and an average snowfall of 6 metres (17 feet), it’s one of Canada’s finest year-round resorts.

Olympic Gold Medalist Nancy Greene is the Director of Skiing and Ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort.   The resort is perfect for snow enthusiasts of all levels. For beginners, there are superb learning trails and a gentle 8 kilometre (5 mile) top-to-bottom green run.

Intermediate-level skiers and snowboarders will be thrilled with Sundance Ridge for its pure cruising, while those more advanced will pump plenty of adrenaline on the black runs.

Sun Peaks also has a great programme of family events that varies throughout the winter. These include a 'Slopeside Movie Night', a 'Family Casino Night ' and a 'Mid-Mountain Dinner & Torchlight Descent.'

Kids and adults alike will love jumping aboard a giant grooming machine on a 45-minute run with the Snow Cat Driver. Another option is to experience back country skiiing or boarding on a day-long cat ski tour from Top of the World.

Kids can also try out a mini snowmobile, go ice skating at the open air rink or ride down the mountain on a cushion of air at the Tube Park.

Sun Peaks village is a fairyland at night when the lights twinkle and the snow hangs over the roof tops!

But there’s much, much more. Try dogsledding or a horse-drawn buggy ride through the village, or you could even opt out for a while and pamper yourself with a soothing massage the resort's luxurious day spa.

Because the team at Ski Tours Canada knows the resort intimately we can design your personal ski holiday with as many extra services and activities as you like. After all, we are here to make your Sun Peaks snow holiday your best ever!
