HELI and CAT SKIING
The Kootenay region of British Columbia is renowned for its powder making it the best place to try Heli-skiing and cat-skiing!  Within just 4 hours of Red Mountain there are approximately one dozen heli-ski and cat-ski operators. The choices are outstanding and the experiences are unforgettable! The closest Cat-Skiing operation is Big Red Cats, only 20 minutes from Red on Nancy Greene Peak.

SNOWMOBILING
Explore the many miles of trails around Rossland or enjoy an evening snowmobile tour to the top of Granite Mountain. The West Kootenays has some of the best terrain for snowmobiling in BC.

BACKCOUNTRY TOURING
The touring around Red Mountain is plentiful and glorious. Five different backcountry peaks are easily accessible from the resort's boundary. If you are travelling on your own, please keep in mind that backcountry travellers are solely responsible for their own safety.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
There are two cross-country ski areas located in the vicinity of Red Mountain. Together, the BlackJack Cross Country Club and the Paulson Cross Country Ski Trails maintain more than 85km (50m) of trails for skate and classic skiing.

TRAIL AQUATIC CENTRE
The pool, diving boards and indoor water slide found at the Trail Aquatic Centre are sure-fire hits with the kids. Adults in need of relaxation will also find a hot tub and steam room.
