Marmot Basin - Jasper

Besides superb alpine skiing and snowboarding at Marmot Basin, Jasper offers a wide variety of other winter adventures:

Maligne Canyon Tour 
Tour the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park where you will actually walk on the frozen floor of the canyon. Take pictures of the Queen of the Maligne and Angel Icefalls. This tour can be done in the day or by night.

Columbia Icefields Tours
The Columbia Icefield covers 325 square km of snow and ice and feeds 8 major glaciers including Athabasca, Dome, and Stutfield Glacier. The Columbia Icefield is a true "continental divide" for its melt water feeds streams and rivers that pour into the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans. Guided tours of the area will be a full day of fun and great adventure.

Cross Country & Back Country Skiing
The park offers a wide choice of groomed and natural trails for Nordic skiers. Guided tours are available with certified Park Interpretive Guides and trail info is available at all sports stores in Jasper and at the Visitor Information Centre.

Dog Sledding
To start you will have an interpretive van ride to just outside the National Park to your start point where you will meet your certified guide. The guide will teach you to use the sled and work with the dogs to speed along trails and discover the beauty of nature at its best.

Heli Tours
Discover Jasper National Park from the sky. Fly over a number of different locations including the Columbia Icefields of the Majestic Mount Robson. Passenger planes and Helicopter tours are available.

Sightseeing Tours
Jasper National Park is an endless array of Adventure! Take a sightseeing tour and discover the best-kept secrets of the most beautiful views of lakes, enchanted forests, and wildlife at your fingertips. Certified Guides will give you an overview of the History of the area including names of Mountains and Lakes and how they came to be.

Snowmobiling
Take a guided trip East or West of the Park and enjoy views of the Athabasca River, Mountains and vast wilderness.

Snowshoeing

Sleigh Rides
