Air Canada Waives Excess Baggage Charges for Ski Equipment

November 2007

With the Northern Winter season fast approaching, and to help ensure effective handling of high volumes of baggage, starting December 12, 2007 Air Canada will require customers travelling with sporting equipment on or after January 7, 2008 to advise the Airliine in advance that they will be carrying such items through a sports registry.  You will need to register your customers sporting equipment to eliminate any excess baggage charges.

By registering your sports equipment, passengers will benefit from a waiver on the excess piece fee for ski or snowboard boots, and on the oversize fee for skis, snowboards,  hockey sticks and hockey bags.  Click here for more information.
