Alberta

Alberta

With the Canadian Rocky Mountains as the backbone of Alberta,  the province provides a huge variety of adventure and scenic vacation opportunities. Home to two of the largest cities in Canada - Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta is the most westerly of the prairie provinces. Alberta's economy is based on its huge wheat farms, cattle ranches, minerals and fossil fuels, as well as tourism.

With its mountains, rivers, lakes, forests and five national parks, Alberta provides plenty of opportunities to go fishing, horse riding, cycling, canoeing, rafting, hiking and so on.  In wintertime it is the skiers' playground.

Alberta’s grandeur and beauty are obvious from the moment of arrival. Home to the world-famous Rocky Mountain resort towns of Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise, Alberta is a must visit on any Canadian journey.
